This is always a must stop when we are in Galtinburg! The shop owner is always so kind and amazing. Love hearing about the man in the mountain!
Love this place RAndy does awesome work. Have 2 cutting boards, several handmade braided rugs,flowers. Bought a duck carved from an old fence post-- absolutely beautiful. Love spending time just talking. Gave us a demonstration on making his flowers.
I have most of his birds and some others crafts. If we don’t go anywhere else on loop, we always stop to see Randy. He’s very talented and so kind!
Randy Whaley is one of the best carvers you will find. His father still carves some of the flowers- he is in his nineties. Randy's craftsmanship is what you want to look for- in my opinion, his bears & birds are excellent. Not only is he one of the most talented carvers in the Glades, he's one of the nicest you'll ever meet. Whaley's Handcrafts offers a variety of items & this store is worth the time to see.
