I am writing this review to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the services provided by UPMC Magee-Womens Specialty Services in Altoona, Pennsylvania. The office's management and support staff have demonstrated a pattern of unprofessional behavior and poor scheduling practices. On two separate occasions, appointments for my daughter were cancelled with only a few hours' notice. In one instance, the office called a wrong number. I had a very positive experience today. I was made to feel comfortable about talking about my issues and my questions were answered.
Despite these reviews, I had a decent experience with Magee-Women’s with my first pregnancy. I changed providers to this office around 12 weeks pregnant. I had no issue rescheduling appointments, as needed. I never had an issue with any nurses/doctors. They were kind & answered any questions I had. I will consider this place again for my next baby, but I’m hoping that they listen better to their patients when they bring up their concerns. Had a very scary experience at 19 weeks pregnant with bleeding and seen Dr. Adams in the emergency room. She was kind and quick to figure out the issue to put myself and my husband at ease to know our baby was OK. I’m so thankful for her and the nurses we had today. It was a terrifying day and they helped us through!
Nurses and doctors are always friendly and on time!
