I have used Westside for two dogs, 25 years. Dr Rosenthal is very smart, a good diagnostician and really cares about her animal patients. She helped my last dog when she had grand mal seizures. She was compassionate and sensitive when I put her down at 15 years old. The place is very busy, but the vets are excellent.

My cat had a growth on her face for about a year. On multiple occasions the doctors here dismissed it and gave my cat a vitamin shot. Eventually, one of the doctors did a biopsy and we learned it was cancer. After radiation treatments, the cat seems to be doing OK, but who knows what a much earlier diagnosis would mean for her prognosis. Certain members of the office staff are also very unpleasant (others are fine). I’m looking for a new vet and I suggest you do the same.

my cat has been wrongly diagnosed by Dr. Rutherford. Skin infection . Three years later I found out it was not the case. Dr. Rutherford likes to suggest shots instead of investigating the root of the issue. Other doctors at this clinic did not tell me the diagnosis was wrong. They just kept suggesting different things. It took a doctor from another institution to diagnose my cat. He laughed when I told him what my cat has been diagnosed with . Stay away from Dr. Rutheford.

We sent the ultra sound report to Dr K Cantor at West side Vets and she said it showed a mass (3cm tumor)which needed to come out .The next day we brought him into West Side Veterinary hospital, they admitted him saying they would give him fluids and call a surgeon to remove the tumor. On Sunday evening we went into visit our dog, we was very weak and they told me he wasn’t eating since Friday. Sunday night after seeing my sweet fur ba... read more
