Nice clean office, my health care however was very poor. I was a walk in and was kindly accepted to see the nurse practioner. My mouth both inside and out are covered with painful blisters. I requested some type of mouthwash and Vicodin or T 3 s for my pain. They said they called in RX,s, I was given \$100 cream and Advil for my pain. Now they will not take me calls. Mind you, I am I legitimate pain and did not request morphine, oxy, etc. I was not drug seeking. I never saw the DR. but I truly believe she is not a healer.
I have been a patient of this practice for 2 years, since moving to El Paso. Since I ve been here I ve had to schedule over 10 appts in order to receive my routine medication refills or wouldn t be given a refill at all. Between work and school I m obligated for around 60hrs each week. I am a mother of 3 and a wife of a soldier, not to mention a Registered Nurse. Sandra Rochas office is so UNPROFESSIONAL with the exception of the MA. The receptionist lacks people skills, and is just flat out RUDE! Sandra Rocha thinks her time is more important than her patients. The wait is RIDICULOUS!!!! It doesn t matter if you are extremely sick or just going in for a check up, you will WAIT and WAIT and WAIT!!! I agree that the waiting time is long, I drive an hour to her office on the westside, I am disabled, but I know that until I saw Dr. Sanda Rocha, I finally found a dr that was sympathetic and tried to understand the frustration I was dealing with, when the other doctors were passing me around like a number. I just read the previous review. I have to comment on it. I have been seeing Dr. Rocha for over 3 years. She is the best doctor I have seen in a very long time. She is extremely attentative. She saved me when no other doctor took the time to fiqure out what was wrong with me. She is a blessing! It may be true that you have to wait to see her but that is because she gives the same time and attention to EACH patient. Yes you may have to wait a long time. Yes the office staff seems to struggle to get everything done. But that is because Dr. Rocha is a wonderful doctor who listens to you and cares about you and wants to help you - and will heal you. A doctor like this attracts more patients than she can possibly see in a day or week or month. She does not turn people away, so if you come, you will have to wait your turn because she is giving the patients ahead of you the same careful attention that she will give to you. I was referred to this Dr. by someone at work. When I called to make an appointment they explained I needed to see the NEW nurse practitioner and could not make an apt for me with the Dr, I had to see the NP first. I agreed and when I showed up for my 1st apt I waited 2+ hours for a 15 minute apt. Before I went to my 1st apt I read the 1st review from 8/10 and asked my work associated/friend about it and she stated that "yes, you do wait but she is worth it" so I ignored my gut telling me don't waste your time. AVOID THIS DOCTOR! My mother called me yesterday asking me about who I use as an OB/GYN. I told her Dr. Lacy. I asked her why. She said that recently while at Dr. Rochas office she had experienced 2 hour waits consistently along with other patients and when the office staff was asked about the wait time by another patient who stated she had been waiting 1.5 hours the office staff brushed her off.
