Got a phone call that my prescription was ready for pick up. I drove over an hour from Stamford (traffic) to Westport because I needed this prescription before the weekend. When I arrived, they told me my prescription was not in stock and to come back. When I got back in my car I received a text that my prescription was delayed. Extremely disorganized operation. I shouldn't have received a phone call saying my order was ready for payment when it wasn't in stock.
I’ve had an incredibly disappointing and frankly unacceptable experience with this compounding pharmacy. After receiving multiple calls, I clearly asked to be removed from their call list. Instead of respecting that request, the man on the phone hung up on me mid-sentence. When I attempted to call back, he either hung up again or placed me on hold without saying a word multiple times. Not impressed. The pharmacy staff have provided incorrect information regarding my prescriptions multiple times. I was told by Westport Apothecary that the medication I was prescribed was discontinued by the manufacturer, but the website for the pharmaceutical company makes it clear that is not the case. Walgreens also confirmed that the medication is available. I expect better service and accuracy from a local pharmacy than a corporate chain like Walgreens, but that has not been my experience.
