I have been with Westpac for over 20 years, and it was very disappointing recently to see how their operations and customer service handle a bank deposit into an account which has been closed. It states on their site if you pay someone money from your account into an account that has been closed, the money will bounce back into your account within 48 hours, however the money did not return to my account. Really bad experience! I can’t receive SMS Code when I am in overseas, and I called tech support 3 times already they can’t help me out! Other ones are I can’t access my online banking because I do an online transaction to my friends! It’s ridiculous!! I spent over thousands for calls from overseas and the problem still there! It’s useless.

Disgrace of an organisation. Went into the branch 3 times to get a credit card due to them having a 'system error'. I persisted and gave them everything required 5 times. Got fed up with the rubbish and went elsewhere and was approved with NAB within 24 hours. Don't waste your time, avoid Westpac at all costs
