Extremely disappointing experience with the personal banking section at Westpac Burwood Branch. I spent weeks following up regarding a long unresolved bank guarantee and term deposit matter connected to a commercial lease I left in 2022. During April 2026 alone, I attended the branch around five times, provided extensive documentation, evidence of communication with the landlord, and even JP-certified documents as requested by staff. Would have gave 0 star. Had to wait for almost an hour just to open an account. Ask multiple time for wait time she kept on saying soon. But after an hour we were about to leave so we asked again how long. She said 10 min or more and said if we wanna book appointment instead. Was not even busy just few people. Someone who walked in after us to open account was attended. Unprofessional.
The service at this branch was excellent, especially Ms. Mia Xiao. She was incredibly patient and quickly helped customers resolve their issues. She remained calm and composed no matter who she encountered; her professional skills are truly outstanding! Thumbs up! 👍
