Went in with ectopic pregnancy. Took bloods and was left sat waiting 6 hours for results to come back. The AnE doctor said that they would contact me once they got blood test results back to determine what kind of pregnancy I am having! That the doctor will back into the hospital to see EPAC or that I have to go to st Michael's hospital. Don't know why they didn't just send me to EPAC to begin with but there you go! My name is Tracey Britten I was sent to A&E by 111 service, (told to be there within an hour) given instructions about what to do on route if condition worsened. I have a spinal condition that could detereate leading to very serious consequences including paralysis. Soon after arrival I was seen by triage ( my form had a red "urgent stamped on it) she also said she was aware of the potential consequences of the condition. Visited A and E first thing Saturday morning. Triaged nearly straight away and seen by a consultant within an hour. Lovely Dr and Consultant working with them, they took time to test everything and explain things clearly.

I had to admit myself on the evening of Tuesday 20th May due to severe neck pain & restricted movement. All of the clinical staff were amazing with special mention going to: Abbie, who managed to laugh at my bad jokes 😃 Jack, who took pity on the remaining 5 & got us all sandwiches 🥪 & hot drinks. Dr Noor, calming with a good bedside manner, keeping me advised of the next steps. Hopefully I'll not end up back there again,.but if I do, hope this team will be on.
