Not somewhere I would recommend — the staff are not the most kind, especially if you have mental health issues (which for most people is the root of their addiction). Besides DBT group, theres barely any discussion, education, or awareness of mental health — only focusing on addiction and not the roots (which is not effective to not address and heal). Westminster House truly helped me save myself. I had been to many treatment centers before I ended up at Westminster House, and none had the same social connection, after care and instilling of values that I got at this house. I was treated with dignity and respect, the staff highlighted my positive attributes instead of breaking me down. I gained so much confidence and self-worth at WHS, and I will be forever grateful. I will soon be 6 years clean and sober!!

I hated it there. It didn't help me at all. I actually got worse there. I had to go to the hospital 3 times. I got humiliated in front of everyone by drinking caffeine. I have thoughts and nightmares from this place. They turn your family against you. I was almost homeless.
Westminster House Society isn’t where I would want I go . Very clicky and everyone who works there is a recovering addict who don’t have any idea what they are doing … not very profession
