Get directionsmore than 12 hours waiting for seeing the doctor. This is ridiculous.
Westmead Emergency was an awful experience. I went due to GP advice, with a letter of concern. Arrived at 5pm and saw a nurse in Triage 15mins later who I explained I was in extreme pain and provide my GP letter. The triage nurse listed the wrong information even after explaining my medical issue. 7pm before I was taken in for blood work and then saw a doctor due to saying i might leave. We took our Son to the Emergency Department on Saturday morning, at 1.15am on 17.01.26, after he was assaulted by a group of boys. We had to wait until 5.00am to have x-rays done on his chest and CT scan on his head and jaw. We were advised that the results should be in within 2 hours, but by 10.00am we still didn't have any results. We asked numerous times and were always advised that the results still weren't in. Eventually at approximately 11.00am the results came in, and then we were advised that he had to have another C... read more

We waited for 13 hours and slept there all night until the next day. I kept asking if it was okay for us to wait, as we just needed to know whether it was a clot or not. They kept saying they man... read more
