What a humbling experience of waiting in ED for 17 hours. Still sitting in the waiting room past 17 hours. Received antibiotics for infection after 12 hours!!! Gynaecology team has been paged 15 hours ago and still didn’t have time to review patients in ED I was discharged home after 18 hours with a completely wrong diagnosis.

On Saturday I ended up at Westmead Emergency for the first time with a broken shoulder. We are so lucky we are in Australia and every staff I interacted with was beyond amazing! Thank you thank you thank you !

I had the worst experience of my life at Westmead Hospital’s emergency department. I arrived around 8:50 pm and wasn’t discharged until the next day at 4:40 pm—yet almost nothing was done for me. The management and organisation were extremely poor, and it seemed like no one really knew what was happening with my care. The nurses in the waiting area were excellent and worked hard to look after patients, but once I was called inside, everything changed. Recently mum went to the Emergency dept via Ambulance. First and foremost the two ladies (ambos) who attended to my mum were nothing short of outstanding. The attention, care and compassion immeasurable. What ever these ladies are paid is no where near enough. Guardian angels is who they are. Next the Emergency department staff. Excellent Excellent Excellent, as per the ambos, just wonderful people doing extraordinary things under unbelievable conditions. A big thankyou and much appreciation to all concerned.🩵🩵
