History Established in 1921. We're a locally owned family operated supermarket in the Groesbeck area of Lansing, Michigan. The store was established in 1921 and has been at it's current location since 1957. We've recently expanded our Beer department. We've added over 60 varieties of Michigan made and craft beers to our already extensive selection. We now have: 3 varieties of Fresh Coffee, Various Cappuccinos, Hot Chocolate. I've always liked this little store but today I feel cheated by them. The budget buster sale is not what it seems..at least for the meat sale. If you have your meat sliced by them be careful. They are super nice about slicing it for you...but what they don't tell you is that they trim off the fat and end pieces for you( which is nice) and toss it. but as nice as that is...they are still charging you for those scraps they trim off. Best meat in town. I've been waiting for the budget stretcher sale to stock up on steak!
It's a great market with great products and meat department. If you don't find what you're looking for just ask and if they don't have it they'll try to find it and order it in for you. They have a great selection of Michigan products from local vendors even a Haslett area winery.
With Goodrich's gone, this is the last place in town that still feels like a true grocery store in the old fashioned mode. Their potato salad is the best in town and almost as good as my mom's homemade. Their spaghetti salad is unique and always gets raves when I take it to parties. I'm glad this place is nearby.
