The boat we rented was a deck boat that had an expired tag, dent in the propeller which resulted in poor gas efficiency with the motor, a radio that did not work, a gas door that was loose and significant damage to the hull (major scratches from previous rentals but the hull had no leaks and was only a cosmetic issue).
