I witnessed a disaster unfolding the night of August 14. The unprofessional staff could not check people in due to no internet A group of disabled people attending a educational event there waited hours to be checked in, no hospitality was provided not even water. Hours later some where housed in other hotels, many just left. I felt bad for these disabled people and was appalled by the staffs negligence.
I stayed at The Westin Downtown Cleveland in June for my husband’s birthday, and I have to say, Michael made our stay such a wonderful experience! From the moment we arrived, he was so kind, welcoming, and accommodating to me and my family. He has such a great smile and a genuinely warm personality that immediately makes you feel comfortable. The doors to the rooms ONLY CLOSE IF THEY ARE SLAMMED. You literally cannot gently close your door without pulling it shut hard… and neither can any of your neighbors. Not acceptable.
We stayed at The Westin Cleveland Downtown from August 13-15 and are extremely disappointed with the hotel quality we received during our stay. Firstly, when we arrived, the sliding bathroom door was broken and in need of repair. I was stuck in the bathroom for about 5 minutes until eventually, my husband was able to help me get out. Then a repair man had to come into our room for several minutes to fix. He was very gracious and worked quickly but the experience really put a horrible taste in our mouths. The Hotel itself had quite a few issues. An accidental fire alarm at 11:30pm, electrical issues that shut down all systems from the restaurant, elevators and front desk. Aside from these issues AZ, Lashanda (Security) and Micheal were amazing and extremely professional. They are truly an asset to this Hotel.
