Recently we went there with a coworker but their movie machine malfunctioned, it won't start. We notified an agent and he expeditiously gave us a free pass for any movie we wish to see next....
We went for the free preview screening of "Baby Driver". The line was long. We were there about an hour and a half before the 7:30 PM start time and we were, literally, got the last two seats available. Unfortunately, the reclining seat I was in was broken. It was in the first row so I had to lean off the side of the chair to see the screen. Everything else was fine. If I had paid for my seat and ended up in that chair I wouldn't have stayed. Love Dolby Atmos. I think I like it even more than IMAX. I just wish they had jalapenos in the condiment section instead of having to ask for them. They always give me so few and it's such a waste to have them in the little plastic cups.
I arrived with a friend to find out that the movie we wanted to see was all but sold out..save two seats in the front row. We declined to buy tickets, however, as we walked away from the ticket counter, several friends showed up having two extra tickets. They offered them to us. That's the magic of the Metreon AMC theaters. You run into old friends and make new friends.
They only had one person working to purchases tickets with a long line! When I went to the concession there was only one person there also! I was almost late for my movie and we were there 40 min early.

Great IMAX, over priced tickets, nice seats, great sound. Not sure why we need reserved seats, waste of time, first come first served has worked well forever.
