I brought in my 2007 Camry they charged me for a diagnostic told me I needed a up when I received my vehicle back from them it had a whole in the radiator And tried to charge me 900 to fix it when it wasn’t there b4 I gave them my car

Business response:

Yes, the 200k miles Camry was brought in to us with a running issue that we repaired. After picking up the car from us they came back and said now there is a coolant leak. We check the car out and found that the radiator was now leaking and needed replaced. They declined having us do the work. They drove the car to the business besides ours and proceeded to replace the radiator themselves over the course of 5 hours and then they drove away. ANYTHING can happen to a car with 200k miles and having been wrecked in the front end... read more

Our daughter's Toyota Camry had stalled three days ago and we called Westerville Automotive Co about a possibility of repair. They agreed. So, we hired a tow truck to deliver the car to their location. It turned out to be a faulty "crankshaft sensor" which they replaced in a couple of hours. For a replacement Westerville Automotive Co purchased an aftermarket Crankshaft Position Sensor part #19-0471 at ******** **** *****and charged us for it $135.80 - more than a double of its RETAIL price of $63.99 at the store. This part ... read more

If you decide to go to this shop, be prepaired to pay a double or even a triple of the amount they normally charge elsewhere at other shops. In our case a 1/2-hour job of replacement of a $69 "plug-and-play" aftermarket sensor cost us an unbelievable amount of $600.27 "We are for-profit company", responded the manager on the question of why the bill was so high. That probably should be translated into "You were desparate, your car won't start and we charged you whatever we wanted because ...we could!"
