Since 1961, Western Magnesite has been the recognized leader and provider of waterproof deck coatings for walkways, balconies, pool decks, and stairs in the Los Angeles and other southern California areas. One popular product we use is called Desert Crete; manufactured by Hill Brothers Chemical Corporation. We also install wrought iron and precast stairways to replace wood or coated stairways. If you are a property owner contemplating Magnesite or decking work - AVOID this company. I'm part of a 2nd generation firm that, in the past, has used Western for jobs at about half a dozen buildings. Earlier this Summer, I began to work with them for rebuilding a couple decks, and recoating a few stairsways at a multifamily building.
