Dr Baker and his team kept me alive and with the best quality of life possible for several years until transplant was the only option left available. That has now been completed with seemingly good results. I will always appreciate the work of the WHOC clinic staff. Grateful to be alive!
Absolutely disgusting practice and I'm shocked to see them still operating! My partner went to them for an iron infusion ( very common basic procedure) and was administered the wrong infusion. The side effects where not a concern at all to the doctors and neither was the traumatic events my partner had to endure. She became massively unwell and went through 4 weeks of treatments as a result. Dr Polistena, Haematologist treated my daughter with kindness and in a timely manner, her clinical expertise and care was greatly appreciated by our family during an incredibly stressful time. All other staff I dealt with at Western Haematology were professional and prompt too, highly recommend
Unimpressed. Language barrier a huge issue. I struggled to understand what Dr Polistena was trying to say. Her descriptive language skills were poor, in my opinion. She spent 5 minutes reading the referal when I entered the room and then had issues using the PC, which caused her disruption and bothered me. As a patient with leukemia - I want to feel re assured, not have someone reading a referral like they only just got it.
