We just built a home in the mountains and our builder used western fireplace to install four fireplaces. Three weeks after we moved in, the metal hood on top of the fireplace on the roof fell off! I called the builder who blamed western fireplace while the gentleman at Western Fireplace told me they were not responsible and it was my problem. I would never by anything from these people and if we could return the four fireplaces I would. Poor customer service and response, in my opinion.

This year I decided to have a gas insert installed in my 1983 built home; no gas, wood only, traditional fireplace. I was aware of the huge amounts of heat I was losing, even with a closed flue. Tired of risking green wood and hauling & storing it, along with all the mess, this seemed the perfect solution. I recd several bids, but Western Fireplace had an Estimator right out to me, and the install scheduled almost immediately. I cant imagine anyone giving this company a bad review. They showed up on time, were very clean, and very professional. I would recommend them to any of my friends.
The Fort Collins location is an absolute JOKE... They are under-staffed, disorganized, unresponsive, and poorly trained. They take a trial and error approach to fireplace installations that results in the process dragging on far longer than necessary (expect ZERO assistance if you are a DIY). My purchase of two units for a new home has been a virtual nightmare... They claim to be doing all they can, but their customer service standards are far below reasonable expectations. If I had it to do over, Id definitely go elsewhere!
They are a first class outfit. The showroom is very impressive with a huge selection of burning styles to choose from. They came out to our home prior to the installation to make sure the model we were interested would be appropriate for our space. In fact, they suggested a less expensive model saying our first choice would provide more heat than the room could handle. BY FAR THE MOST KNOWLEGEABLE FIREPLACE COMPANY WE VISITED, BEAUTIFUL SHOWROOM, WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH OUR NEW STOVE.
I WAS NOT IMPRESSED BY THE LACK OF KNOWLEDGE HERE THE OTHER DAY. THESE POPLE INSTALLED OUR FIREPLACE AND WE HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS. MOST OF WHICH THEY SAY THEY CANT FIX.
