My nearly 6 year old son underwent a tonsillectomy this morning and all I can say is, wow. The staff is amazing, very attentive and knowledgeable. They made the whole morning smooth and comfortable for both of us. Any child having surgery is tough, but everyone from the doctor, anesthesiologist, nurses and more made sure he was taken care of. I can’t thank them enough for the outstanding amount of love and support they gave during this time!
In the waiting room for over an hour past scheduled arrival time. I approached the window to ask how much longer & was told “his eye surgery wasn’t scheduled to even begin for an hour and a half after appointment time” Asked WHY patients required to sit in waiting room THAT LONG before scheduled surgery. The concerned reply was. “Don’t ask me” We felt no regard for patients or their valuable time. Very disappointing..
Our friend had Cataract surgery here. Very clean, professional and skilled as it should be for a surgery center.
Excellent experience with Dr. Sluder and the medical team at Western Carolina Surgery Center. Our 1 year old received ear tubes earlier in the week, and while this is a minor procedure, it always can be a nervous experience for baby and parents. The clinical team was professional, patient, and answered questions in a clear way. When the time came for little man to go back, the anesthesiologist was playful and endearing, which made it a smooth transition for our son to be taken back.
