My organization uses the Westcott House every year for our annual retreat, and it always fits us comfortably. There's plenty of room throughout the house to host games and relax. Additionally, I really appreciate how well stocked the house is. There's plenty of cookware and kitchen utensils, and with two kitchens, there's enough space for several people to cook at the same time without it feeling too crowded. We absolutely loved Westcott House! We're a DC-based concert choir that takes retreat weekends twice a year, and Westcott House was our best retreat location yet. Spacious, elegant, and beautiful, it had it all. As a performing ensemble, we loved taking advantage of the many chairs and piano downstairs for rehearsal time, and couldn't believe how ample the seating options were for meal times, with enough space to easily accommodate our very large (35+) group inside and outside on the deck, which featured a mountain view! Beautiful destination. Great for retreats. Weddings, etc. The rooms are awesome and so are the meeting rooms, etc. Plenty of amenities EXCEPT in room bathrooms.
This place is huge. Visited for a family event. There are many different rooms where you can gather together or seek solitude. I didn't stay the night but those that did had no complaints. It is a bit 'out of the way' - 2 hours from DC and Maryland where I was visiting with friends, but we'll worth the trip.
Our work retreat is held at Wescott House every year and every year we're blown away by the space and hospitality at Westcott House! The rooms are incredibly spacious and clean, and there was enough room for everyone to be comfortable and relax while also having fun. Great location and tons of amenities for a large group! Great communication with the management staff. Would recommend to anyone!
