Buyer beware when it comes to after-sales support. I reported a defect covered by the statutory dealer warranty shortly after purchasing my BMW. Months later, after a failed repair attempt, supplying evidence, and repeated follow-ups, the issue remains unresolved and my communications are largely being ignored. The sales experience was positive. The after-sales service and apparent reluctance to honour statutory warranty obligations have been extremely disappointing.
I did buy a cheap and ageing BMW on facebook, which unsurprisingly turned out to require multiple repairs. I hesitantly went with the local BMW dealer (Westcoast) to start this process fearing that I would be paying a premium. As it turns out, I could not have been happier with the dedication, thoroughness and generosity of their service department.
