I’ve gone to many states with good memories this state has ridiculously low speed limits to punish you for going there. Big wide highways with 60 mile speeds knowing this is a silly speed limit they stack patrols every mile Let’s spend our hard earned money in states that appreciate our visit. If you do choose to stop there pack a few sets of headphones for the kids to put on when you have your discussion with the patrol

Love West Virginia with a passion, one of the most beautiful places on the planet. That being said, don't come here if you want to take your vehicle home in one piece. The roads are horrible most places, they keep them up around the biggest tourist spots, but getting there may get you killed. Mountaineer hwy in Preston county is a prime example. Visited the tourism office at the Capital complex a few days ago and Hillary answered many questions for us and gave us tips and advice that were very much appreciated. Also a beautiful office area. She was super friendly and nice to my wife & I. The only reason that I didn't give 5☆ is because it was difficult to locate and then difficult to access. No signage to show where to go, then you must go through security to get into building (I understand this) but then the office in the secure building is locked with no signs and... read more

Whatever You do steer clear of this state. I ran out of gas on a road that didn't have a gas station for miles. Before I could return with gas My car was towed. It was well off the road. The tow bill was almost $500.00! I didn't have it. It set off a chain of events that led to Mr being rendered homeless. I lost My job, because I had no way to get there.
