I’ve been seeing Dr. Mathai at West Portal Dental for many years. At my appointment today a different dentist walked in and proceeded with the appointment barely introducing herself and trying to persuade me to agree to procedures that I was not interested in. I was never notified that my original dentist had left the business. They claimed to have sent emails and letters, but this is something that should have been communicated when I made my appointment and when I arrived to the office. Great experience at this clinic. Very thorough with cleaning, offered topical numbing free of charge after the hygienist noticed discomfort. Cleaning process was much longer compared to other clinics across the street, who appear to be churning out volume of appointments. Highly recommend, but book your appointments well in advance as they get booked up quickly
Great experience getting a cleaning with Lucienne. I'm nervous getting dental care and she did everything to make it a pleasant, informative, and comfortable experience.
