I am extremely disappointed with the communication from Hartford HealthCare Surgery Center. There was a major blizzard forecasted for the weekend, and my grandfather was scheduled for a procedure on Monday. Given the severity of the storm, he called multiple times throughout the weekend to find out whether his appointment would be canceled. If you want stress, wasted time, and mind blowing logic that doesn't make any medical sense, then by all means, chose this facility. Or do yourself a favor and see if your doctor has privileges elsewhere. There are several ambulatory facilities in the area that offer a far better experience.
Phone system is terrible. Like many call centers they run you around in circles with no direct number to the doctor, you can't speak directly to the receptionist, there are no direct numbers even online. When the office leaves voicemail it does not leave a number for their office, and the call center does not have a direct number. They do not email appointment reminders or text, unlike most other providers.
