would not recommend using this company if you can avoid them, they allow outages to drag on for multiple hours with no reasons given and they refuse to answer the phone, it's highly unprofessional and if you need reliable power they can't provide it.
My father passed Nov 2023. It has been 18 months to get utilities switched over and Capital Credits issued. West Florida Electric Coop needs overhauled with new management systems and processes. I have a Co-Op here in Missouri where I live and it's extremely efficient. Our capital credits are issued annually and not upon death and from the 1990's. What in the absolute eff is going on Florida. Get your stuff together. You look like an absolute fool.
They were really kind and listened to my desires of not having any of my trees cut down. The team was able to install my new electric pole diagonally to prevent the need to cut down my beautiful trees. I really appreciate all the guys at West Florida Electric Co-Op for understanding. It had to extend from the power pole in front of my neighbor's house, but he was cool with it because I talked to him first and asked if it was okay. Our power went out at 4:00am. I have called the office on 5+ different occasions. Nobody can give me an update. They keep saying "they're working on it" but wont give me any time frames, wont give me any further information, as to even an expected time frame, if it will come back on today or 3 days from now. I called again, (I've only been calling every 3 hours or so) I work from home, so it is a MUST that I have internet & power. So I call, and she puts the phone down and on mute.
