The WORST rental experience I’ve ever had. I strongly recommend touring the actual unit AND entire property before signing a lease at West End City Center. Management has been unprofessional and consistently unresponsive. The property has serious maintenance and safety concerns: crumbling concrete stairwells with rusting metal supports, rotting patio wood, rusted railings, debris-filled breezeways, overflowing trash/dog waste stations, and pest issues. Updated 9/15- BH Management no longer manages this property, and I look forward to a course correction. Broken and missing stair treads. Crumbling concrete. Rusted railings and guardrails. Shattered fragments around stairwells. Bird poop. Dog poop. Trash. Neglected common areas. This is West End—and yes, “common-area maintenance” is one of the things residents are charged for. Buckle in because I’ve been READY to leave this review. West End/BH management is a perfect example of an amazing place that was swallowed and spit out by private equity. Move here if you’re okay with high rental costs, non-responsive management, amenities you can’t use, unsafe structures, mystery fees, and dog and bird feces EVERYWHERE. My partner and I lived here for 3 years, and the first 2 were great. Management was responsive, the property was well-maintained, and the rent costs were justified(ish). This complex USE to be great. Over the years though? Nothing has been taken care of, whatsoever. When management changed, it only got worse. I had the pleasure of making the hike up and down 4 flights of stairs dozens of times over the last 3-4 years, and when I say they’re broken, rusted, and structural pieces are missing on all of them?
