I have an absolute horror story about this place! NEVER take any hooved animals there! I had an unbelievably TERRIBLE experience at West End Animal hospital when I brought my pot-bellied pig there. The vet claimed that they knew pig anatomy (my piggy's hooves on his back foot are growing in a "club" foot pattern and causing him pain). They took my baby Boris into a back room and 6 people held him down while they took a BELT SANDER to his hoof.... they then fed him BACON DOG TREATS to try to calm him down!!!!!!! Awesome place to bring your pets
Best Vet by far West End is an amazing place to take your pet! We take both of our rescue dogs there, they were even nice enough to look at one of our new dogs before we had even switched his information over to them and it also wasn't even his appointment! (We were getting our other dog looked at at the time) We also took our sick guinea pig there and although he didn't make it we felt so much better knowing that he was in their care. By far the best in every way After having decided to take our ferret to Dr. Cottrell because of her exceptional nationally known reputation, we soon learned that the drive from Atlanta was more than well worth it. Not only did we receive for our Cindy the best care she could have possibly gotten, but we met an entire clinic of incredible people. THE BEST If you have a ferret and live in the Gainesville area you want to go to West End. Dr. Cottrell is a top class vet and I wouldn't take my "babies" any where else!! The staff is friendly and welcoming.
Find your perfect match...dog, cat or bat :) West End Animal hospital is a little off the beaten path out in Newberry. I went there to look for a dog for my daughter. My son-in-law wanted to get her a small breed . He prefered one that was rescued since there are so many unwanted pets.
