I was thrown off a horse and needed to be transported to the emergency room. Mark and Jason were very knowledgeable and gentle with getting me there. It was great of them to be so understanding about not using the sirens coming onto the grounds and to turn off the lights when asked so as not to scare the horses. I can't thank Mark enough for giving me the heads-up that once in the emergency room there would be lots of people coming at me from all directions. I would have freaked out if he hadn't warned me. The response time of the West Alexandria Emergency Squad is phenomenal. They have handled many calls for my mother, and arrived within several minutes; soon after the police officer responded. They had come to know my mother over the years, and she really liked them; knew some of them by name. They always handled my mother with tenderness; with care; very professional; very knowledgeable paramedics.
