I recently spent five days and nights at the Wernog Wood estate, attending a Traditional Timber Framing course, and honestly, it was absolutely fantastic. From the shared evening meals to the relaxed atmosphere and the wonderful people attending, every moment was enjoyable. The facilities were top-notch, and it felt like a perfect setting for such a unique experience. Visited Wernog Wood for a 3 hour jewellery making course. Claire is a brilliant tutor, very relaxed and immediately puts you at ease. Just a small group of 4 students meant we could all see the demonstration clearly and had plenty of time to work, without feeling left behind. Would thoroughly recommend and will certainly visit again. Left with a lovely silver ring, very pleased with my piece of jewellery.
My first watchmaking course, and the same for the tutor! Will makes a great teacher, knowledgeable, careful and clearly very experienced and passionate on the subject. The centre is a warm and comfortable island in the woods, with lots of tea, biscuits and lovely homemade lunches for the students.
