Prior to seeing dr wentz, I fractured my 5th metatarsal bone in my foot, the original fracture was less than 2mm separation. I was treated by another dr and given very poor advice to come out of immobililization too early. I was seeing dr wentz for a final x ray expecting the bone to be fully healed. Much to my surprise the separation had grown to 5mm! So, surgery had to be performed and a screw placed to heal. Dr wentz repaired my fracture and the bone was able to fully heal. Just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to Dr. Wentz, his nurse, and the receptionist girls! They treated me like a person and with the utmost kindness and compassion I'd ever experienced. I'm truly excited to meet his daughter in a couple of months. She as well is a podiatrist and I'm sure the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I am being treated by Dr Wenz for a partial tear in my Achilles tendon. I debated whether to go to Colorado Springs for treatment but decided to try Dr. Wenz. I'm glad I did! Because I was also dealing with a sciatic nerve problem, he took the least invasive approach to healing my ankle. I fell and "shredded" the tendons in my ankle. Dr Wentz, and his staff are fantastic. I can't say enough good things about them. Intense anxiety makes it difficult for me to visit doctors, yet he and the staff helped me feel at ease; I'm so grateful for them! LOL, Dr Wentz even told this 60+ woman that I "heal like a teenager"! Haha.... made my day!
