Never use Wendt Touring! I just returned from an 11 day trip to Rome & southern Italy. Our original flight from Pgh to Phila was at 1:00 pm with a 6:50 pm connection to Rome. When our 1:00 pm Pgh to Phila flight was cancelled we were put on a 4:38 pm flight with only 50 minute connnection time. Obviously we missed the connection. We were told by Wendt that we were on our own to rebook. When the original flight was cancelled Wendt received a credit for the move to the cheaper flight. Wendt Touring is a big ripoff. Currently on a pilgrimage to Southern Italy. Not sure why they booked a 2 night stay, splitting the group in two, and one group had a hotel 50 miles away from the town of Sorrento. More than 1.5 hours on roads that do not allow easy travel for tour bus in very hilly area. Many hotels in Sorrento but actually closer to Naples now in an area with only residents. To see town is over 100 Euros taxi ride, each way. Not a good deal.
Just return from Springtime Down South. We loved it. We went with Rocky River senior center. It was great weather, flowers were blooming. Charleston SC Savannah Ga Beaufort SC. We rode boats, toured homes, ate good Southern food and enjoyed our fellow passengers. Kathy Bender was the Tour Director She couldn't do enough for you. She was great.
