If I could put 10 out of 10 stars, I would! Today is my anniversary of Wendover Ambulance team saving my life. I wouldn't be able to see sunrises or sunsets, scratch puppy dogs, or hug my friends and family if it wasn't for these people's dedication and expertise. Wendover Ambulance has entered into an EMT Skills Competition twice and won best in state both times! In my opinion, they certainly are winners and always will be!
Wendover Ambulance's medical providers have come through for their patients time and time again, but also their families. What is usually one of the worst days for the patient and those who love them, these people work hard to not only take care of their patient but to also ensure good communication with the family of what's going on. A wonderful group of dedicated professionals. Being in a rural area far away from medical facilities having these professionals bridge the gap to definitive care is a blessing.
An automobile accident occurred, my son one of the passengers. I was told he was fine and didn’t need stitches. The ER in SLC gave him 7. The other rider was said to be sore with a concussion and that he should be fine with some rest at home, but in their professional option get him checked out to be certain(thank goodness for that!) He ended up needing reconstructive surgery for his face. Then I guess a bandage/checkup cost is $560… good thing 7 stitches weren’t needed on top of that…. I was with Wendover Ambulance for a year and a half and I loved it. Between the interesting calls, the management and co-workers and the area we serviced; there was never a dull moment. You got all sorts of calls you ran with Wendover: trauma from MVCs on I-80, and ATV/bike crashes at Knolls, to overdoses and minor medical at the casinos and gas stations.
