The Wenatchee World is a daily newspaper published in Wenatchee, Wash., and is circulated throughout the state. It was founded as the Wenatchee Daily World on July 4, 1905, by businessmen C.A. Briggs and Nat Ament. In the 1960s and 1970s, the name was shortened to The Wenatchee World. The newspaper is owned by the families of Wilfred and Robert Woods.
