Mixed bag. The one woman with the lighter brown hair is wonderful. She never digs in my arm and always gets me the first time leaving minimal bruising. She listens when I say I have small hard to hit veins. The other women? They don't listen, they use a normal sized needle and dig with said needle in my arm, and still end up having to stick me 2-3 times before they get a vein. I typically get my lab work done here for my annual physical. I tend to pass out with blood draws so I remind the nurse and the staff here have started to remember me even though I only go once a year. They appreciate that I remind and advocate for comfort and security in an incredibly uncomfortable situation.
We were just there this morning to have a lead test done for our baby. The receptionist Linda, came back with us. She was awesome! She was so compassionate towards baby and myself (she comforted me as I cried watching our baby get blood work). I didn't catch the phlebotomist's name but she too was compassionate and was also very skilled and quick. Thank you ladies! This is how all healthcare should be- caring and personal.
Nicole was extremely unprofessional, insensitive and rude. She asked me if I was on any chemotherapy treatment and I said no. She proceeded to mumble under her breath about my needed bloodwork and said "what the hell". "Why is this on here", I stated I was on medication and she rudely insisted she had already asked that. I stated "you asked me about chemotherapy not medications" and she interrupted me multiple times saying she had already asked me about medications which she clearly hadn't.
