After I bought my home in Chapel hill they closed the branch in front of my neighborhood Then they do not fix the one ATM 2 miles from my house. It is old and very tricky. Very tired of Wells Fargo.
Wells Fargo did not accept a perfectly good Wells Fargo check written to pay my grandmother's rent for no good reason. Their fraud department wouldn't say why they didn't accept the check. The previous month a check to the same establishment went through with no problem. Bottom line is that my grandmother was charged a $250 late fee. Wells Fargo said sorry we can help you even though the late fee is a direct result of their actions.
I write Wells Fargo checks for >$5K for my mothers rent. For some unknown reason Wells Fargo did not honor the perfectly good June rent check so the assisted living facility where my mom lives charged a $250 late fee due to Wells Fargo not honoring the check. I contacted Wells Fargo several times and was told they cannot discuss why the check was not honored and there is nothing they can do. Easy to see why Wells Fargo has such a poor customer service rating.
I have taken over my mom's finances and moved her into assisted living (she has a Wells Fargo credit card and checking account). I provide the POA and all necessary paperwork and signatures to Wells Fargo so that I can manage her accounts. I have written several checks on her behalf that went through however, Wells Fargo returned/denied her monthly rent check without any notification or justification. Wells Fargo customer wrote me a check, Wells Fargo charged me $10 to cash Wells Fargo customers check. In the future I’ll charge $40 extra to Wells Fargo customers check. No I don’t want to open an account, I hope to update in the future as to how much I’ve charged Wells Fargo customers just for being customers of Wells Fargo, Dick runs both ways
