RecommendedI have been very pleased with the care and service my mom has received since moving her from another senior facility in Mt. Pleasant last year. Food is excellent and both the exterior and interior of the building is beautiful and comforting. Mom loves the pool and exercise program. Communication from the director and nurses have been great with all the coronavirus restrictions.
My mom was at Wellmore for 44 days for rehabilitation and now is a permanent resident in their assisted living area. The facilities are first-class and the staff is professional and attentive to my mom's needs. I looked at several options and I feel like we made the best choice by selecting Wellmore.

We call this place HELLMORE for very good reasons. I live in Daniel Island and I am ASHAMED that this facility is located in my town. My 89-year-old grandmother was admitted with a broken hip and since the moment she walked in it is been a complete nightmare dealing with the administration of this rehab facility. I have been taking care of my grandmother for over 3 years including rehabs and assisted living facilities and I have NEVER experienced such lack of care, compassion, and quality of care as I have with Wellmore. While the building is beautiful, and a good number of the nursing and CNA staff are great, overall there are numerous issues with the facility. My mom has been in skilled nursing since December. The bad: 1. Food quality is poor, as it is severely under budgeted; chef is experienced and responsive to issues, but is limited in what he can do. I think the positive food reviews are dated. I recently moved my Aunt to Wellmore Memory Care and she is a happy person again! Wellmore has done a great job on all levels. I am an RN and know healthcare. The employees at Wellmore have been chosen with care and it shows. The staff is proactive with the needs of my Aunt verses reactive. I was able to travel overseas recently with great piece of mind, which I haven't felt in 2 years! The biggest decision about this review was to give a 4 or 5-star rating. I thought about what I would change to deserve a 5 star and the answer is nothing. Wellmore on Daniel Island so far has been a home run. Speaking from experience of having dealt with my in-law's health care issues for the last few years I know how the sausage factory works!
