I called in Wellmed Katy to make an appointment for a sick visit couple of days ago. To get to the appointment line, I was on hold for more than 30 minutes. Finally, I got an appointment for next day. I was seen by Renee, the nurse practitioner. I was tested positive for both flu and COVID during my visit. I was told that they will send the prescriptions to my preferred pharmacy right away. However, the prescriptions were not sent by the end of the day. My symptoms got worse overnight. When this place was bought out by Well Med everything went downhill. They no longer prescribe ANY adhd medication at all as per well meds policies and do not believe in its effectiveness. This is closer to a sudo science clinic than one ran by actual doctors. Claimed I was a “new patient” and refused to offer me my previously prescribed medications until I agreed to a blood test. I am confused by the negative reviews of this office because I've used this office as my primary care doctor for at least four years. Dr. Francisco Medrano is my Primary Care Physician and ALWAYS addresses every concern that I have. His entire staff greets by name the moment I walk in. I have given Dr. Medrano permission to use me as a personal reference with anyone that he needs me for.
Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service. Do not go if you are actually needing help. I went for the flu in which I tested positive. I asked multiple times if I could get my ears looked at since they were hurting and was unable to get the help needed. I was sent home to pick up a prescription that I never got. My appointment was at 11am in the morning and I have not received my medication and it’s been 12 hours. I have made numerous calls to get the medication needed. As much as doctor is good, every time you have to wait more than one hour to see the doctor. The office schedule so many patients at the same time so if they cancel, still have one to replace. But is not fair to patients who come to their appointment on time.
