I came in today as a new patient! I am also a paraplegic and in a wheelchair so it takes a lot of extra effort for me to load and unload my wheelchair. I did not have my insurance card on me so Gigget the receptionist coldly and without any empathy or consideration stated "no card no service". I believe she could have easily called United Healthcare and Confirmed my insurance coverage? Apparently, Wellmed will not do this so today was a total waste of time!!! No ticket, No laundry... More than 10 days after requesting a medicine pre-authorization for my medicine ( diabetes) I am still trying to get them to get it done, we change insurance and they required this to be done. This is no longer your family friendly Dr. Shultz Practice, this is a place where you are no more than a number, where you get look down by the new people like you are not worth a breath. My wife and I have been patients here for about 15 years while it was Dr. Shultz's office. When Wellmed took over we were told we would still see the same people working there. Not true, the new people are rude and don't want to do their jobs. We'll be looking for a new office to use.
