What a team! Very responsive to patient needs and even called two days post visit to see how I was feeling. Highly recommend Dr Brits and whole staff.

They used to be a great practice, but once they joined WellMed a couple of years ago, their patient care and customer service has precipitously declined. Dr De La Riva is great, but getting an appointment can take months. As of last year, I was informed they only see Medicare and Medicaid patients.

I had been a patient for 35 years of the old practice. Now, Wellmed has gone strictly Medicare. without giving a good notice. they have known about the change for months now. so I think it HORRIBLE the way they dropped over 10,000 patient at one time. just at this location, do not forget the other offices, and plus, the Optum office is in just central florida it will close to over half a million patients left out in the dark. while dealing with that, my primary care was moved to a new job with only a one day notice. and woul... read more

My cardiologist recommended 2 studies. One was for catherization of my renal artery anda loop monitor implant. We were hoping that both could be done the same day. The catherization was approved but not the loop. The catherization was scheduled twice with the surgical center but Welll med wouldn’t approve it or submit to my insurance Co for authorization! They suddenly decided to drop all their patients who are not Medicare and they gave a very strange reason for it. I wouldn’t go to a place like that that doesn’t care about their patients.
