It's cool to see all the different trees they have assembled over there. Some of the trees that look the most exotic are often from areas not very far from our own, and conversely trees that look familiar are often from far away. Much like the others here said I think it's nice to be able to go to such a peaceful, quiet, and relaxing place so close to the city.

I love the Arnold Arboretum but I was very sad when staff completely demolished the wonderful labyrinth of wild roses and other hedges near the pond and the Bradley Rosaceous Collection. To me, that was such a marvelous place of solace and probably a historic garden as well. I also remember some sort of very fragrant shrubs being removed at the main entrance on the Arborway. We lived in the city when I first married. My husband grew up very close to the Arboretum and shared fond and vivid memories of spending many hours growing up there. I was introduced to the Arboretum over 40 years ago, and we both share and still enjoy it's beauty today!
