I purchased a $382 Reformation Casette Silk Midi Dress in the color Artichoke for my brother’s wedding in Montana. The dress is very delicate and 100% silk and came very wrinkled. I tried it on for few seconds and immediately took it to Welcome to Cleaners to have it steamed. I figured they would do a better job than I would at home. My husband went to pick it up today and the owner made him pay for the steaming first and then she pointed out a blue stain on the front of the dress by the neck. I’ve given this dry cleaners more chances than I can count, but unfortunately, I’ve had persistent issues—especially with their alteration services. Every time I bring in clothing that needs alterations, I make sure to drop it off well in advance. I give them more than enough time, thinking that will ensure the work is done properly and on time. Horrendous experience. I needed a dress hemmed and came on a Wednesday (1 week later) and she had forgotten to hem my dress according to her. So with my flight being the next morning I had to come back at 7am to get my dress and then the back was about 2 inches off the ground and the front was too long. Then my husband got a tux dry cleaned and they lost the leather loops for his suspenders which we realized once we got to Florida. The lady was a nightmare to deal with.
