I used welch electric many times on many projects, from simple repairs to whole houses. I will say that they do honest, good work, quickly. Their price is not the cheapest, but since bad electrical work can kill people I never go with the cheapest-their price is in line with what is expected. I have never had to call them out for anything that they have done, but have had them out many times to correct problems that other handymen/part time electricians have done. I thought ServiceMagic might help me mitigate my outstanding issue and they never returned my call. I had a ceiling fan installed, and the owners son came out to do the work. Honestly, he worked fast, did a very good job and the price quote was very competitive. The problem is that it did not work right, because of the way one of the electrical components is designed.
