Worst doctor experience ever. Looked at me for about 10 seconds then refused to provide care, diagnostics or listen or explore symptoms documented by other providers. Said they didn't know what they were talking about and told me it was tmj. I was reporting sinus pain, chronic ear infections and headaches/body aches with nasal drip. Our appointment was literally 1 minute. I have hyperacusis (sensitive hearing), which was the reason for our visit. He looked at my ears for 2-3 seconds each, said everything looked good, said my hearing test from the other day was good, and suggested I buy earplugs. Earplugs. I walked 10-15 minutes with full-body chronic pain just to be told to buy earplugs and leave within 3 minutes of stepping foot into his office. Even the nurse spent more time with me. Awful bedside manners. Completely dismissed my symptoms and abruptly cut me off to inform me there was nothing he could do over the phone. I’m not sure what the point of being the doctor on call is if you can’t provide basic instructions or resources. It sounded like he could care less about providing care as he treated me like an nuisance. So sorry to inconvenience you, Dr. Shao!! Maybe you can find a career path that’s more fulfilling and rewarding than, you know, being a doctor.
