Brought my toddler in for fever/vomit, initially concerned about appendix. Attending pediatrician immediately ruled out appendicitis, which was great! But my child was still very ill and my secondary guess of strep throat was scoffed at bc "strep usually presents as a fever and/or rash" ya well, in toddlers it can also be sour stomach and pukes. My toddler was severely constipated when we arrived at the ER, and both Security and the Registration Desk rushed us to Pediatrics immediately. This is ALWAYS my experience here—they consistently show a sense of urgency that I’ve come to appreciate more and more over time.
