As a member of Volusia County Rocks, I have gotten many river rocks to paint and hide in various parks in the area. I'm currently creating a fish pond in my back yard and will get flagstone and small river rocks from Weedo's to trim the outer edge.
If you call to ask questions, be prepared to be cut off many times. I was hung up on, abruptly shut down, and now I realize they must not need much business.
