Weddings By Design has a wonderful selection and great customer service however I was disappointed with after purchasing my dress in such a large ‘recommended’ size. The alterations to have it taken in have been a nightmare with my seamstress and I wish I had gone with my intuition with a smaller size and tailored from there…
Weddings By Design is a nice local option This is a small bridal salon. Personalized service and not pushy at all. However, I would recommend making an appt. because there are only two bridal dressing rooms and there won't be room for you to pop in a changing room to try a dress on quickly if you see something you like. The selection isn't huge, but it is more unique than David's, for sure! They also carry a small selection of bridesmaid dresses and mother's dresses.

I cannot say enough good things about Weddings by Design. This was my first stop trying on wedding dresses, so I had no clue what I was looking for and wanted to try everything. My consultant Destinae was SO patient, kind, and upbeat the whole time. Their inventory is incredible, and customer service is unmatched. The atmosphere of a dress shop is so important and can really make or break your experience. Thanks for helping me find my dress and for making the search easy!!!

If you’re looking for a wedding dress, please please please look into Weddings by Design. After having a not-so great experience at another shop in the Des Moines area (literally left in tears), Weddings by Design blew my mind away. Kelsey made things so easy for me. My daughter bought her dress at Weddings by Design. It was the fist and only place she shopped. They were great to work with, helped us resolve an issue and collaborate with an excellent seamstress for alterations.
By far the best place ever. If anyone is wanting to go look at dresses , I recommend to go to this place. I drove 6 hours to Des Moines from Missouri and by far the bestest place to go!!!!! I absolutely loved loved and loved the girls there. They make it all about you and they cater to you and whoever you bring with you. Hands down the best place ever!!!!!! P.S. They are the cheapest around as well!!!!
