SCAMMED Bought a gearbox from Danny “Mint” “Rebuilt 1000kms ago” “came of out a mates car” & “Selling due to moving shops and clearing inventory” I purchased the box, had it sent to a gearbox mechanic before installing. He reported gearbox was destroyed past repair. Ran with no oil until gears were clearly glowing red and 3rd & 4th destroyed Contacted Danny and explained. purchased a personal vehicle from Danny, which he had personally worked on. Many of the bolts were loose, and several parts were installed incorrectly. We agreed on a price that included fixing the warning lights on the dashboard. However, after driving just 300 meters, all the warning lights reappeared. Additionally, within two weeks of receiving a roadworthy certificate, I had to replace two tires. Overall, I would consider this a case of bad faith negotiation and deceptive business practices.
Just wanted to say that we have received nothing but impeccable service from Danny. He is so fast efficient and the service offered is nothing but the best. I can only speak so positive about This mechanic and would highly recommend him for any work that needs to be done.
Messaged on the 28.8 & the person that was responding was unprofessional with replies like “Yea” we agreed that we would meet up that day so I could get a quote & I had said to let me know what time suits them as it was a Sunday. It’s now the 13.9 & I still haven’t heard back.
Highly recommend, very happy with the work done. Reasonable prices compared to other quotes. Will be back in the future for any other work, thank you!
