I have been a customer of this bank for the last 30 years when it was originally Astoria Federal. I have been through all the bank name changes and the bank merges. I have always been patient even with the long lines. The managers have always been wonderful and know my name when I go into the branch. However the new manager has given me an attitude and made comments that were unacceptable. You walk into this branch and there is only 1 or 2 tellers max open at a time. Huuuuge bank with a gigantic parking lot. All that real estate and none of the ATMs ever work
I am appalled by how my senior-citizen mother was treated at the Webster Bank branch in Long Island City. I expected far more courtesy toward elderly customers. On November 22, 2025, shortly after 1:00 p.m., I was assisting my mother with her bank statements in the seating area when we were aggressively approached by a security guard who repeatedly demanded that we leave without explanation. All the years dealing with this bank, thru all the different names it has had, I finally dealt with a Manager who was "Great" dealing with. She deserves more than 5 Stars!
