my first and favorite LYS Excellent selection (and if they don't have it, you can generally special order) and a friendly, knowledgeable staff, including a few younger employees. Sometimes they're busy so they don't have time to help, but if you come back during a down period, someone's almost always willing to sort out a pattern or problem with you. Unique knitting supply store! This place is like heaven for knitters. What sets it apart from other places is how they actually have the tools to spin yarn, too. Great selection of needles!
Very diverse! I visited Weaving Works on a huge sale day so I can't say anything about the sales staff since they were buzzing all about the place! When I did encounter them though, they were very polite. What really got me about Weaving Works was their book selection. Not content with pattern books alone, this store carries books relating to the history of fiber arts, novels involving knitting and all kinds of books relating to the knitting techniques of various regions around the globe. The Weaving Works I just recently took on a new hobby of knitting which is really quite relaxing. I found the Weaving Works store as a result of my new hobby. The store is located in the University district and sells the largest selection of yarns that I've ever seen. They carry many exotic and designer yarns from all over the world as well as patterns, tools, books and accessories.
cali Staff talked among themselves loudly. (Three of them.) Never offered help. When i asked for help one had to finish her personal conversation that went on for at least 5 minutes. Terrible customer service.
